These are two smaller projects one with American Express and the other with Chuck-E-Cheese. Both were looking to streamline their sites for quicker enrollment.
My Role
I went through all the research documents and the clients’ wants and needs. I took this info and the suggestions and created a new look for them to test from.
The Challenge
They were both given to me by one of my bigger clients with the same needs and both had similar testing through Usertesting.com. My point of contact gave me all the results with some suggestions based on client and tester feedback.
Chuck-E-Cheese
Online party enrollment was down and they wanted to redesign the Party info section of their site. Research showed that the existing area was too long and hard to find info quickly. Customers were had to click through several pages to get a simple answer. What testing showed was that customers were more interested in the cost of events and not having to click through several pages to get the info they wanted. I was tasked to take the customers’ needs, with the business wants and reflect that in a new design. After the redesign, online party enrollment jumped 13%.

American Express
They were looking to boost Corporate credit card online enrollment, lower incoming calls with questions about the cards and over the phone enrollment. Their analytics and some research showed that the original pages were too long with way too much information on them. Customers felt overwhelmed and not confident enough that they were picking the right card for their needs. What customers were needing was the most important details about the card at a quick glance, so they felt confident that they were selecting the card to meet their company needs. I was tasked to simplify the corporate card and card comparison pages. These designs reflect what the other card pages looked like from Original to the New. After the redesign, online credit card enrollment was up by 8%.
